Worship
Where are you on your spiritual journey? Whether you're just beginning to investigate Christianity or you already have a mature relationship with Jesus, we're here to help you take the next step spiritually. Worship is an integral part of our spiritual journey. People who haven't attended church, or for some reason have quit going to church, are often surprised at how meaningful true worship can be, and how they are able to connect with God through music, prayer and reflection.
At the Liberty Free Methodist Church, we believe that worship is one of the most important activities in which a Christian can be engaged. It is the center from which the rest of the Christian life flows. In congregational worship, we enter into the presence of God in a special way with other believers as a sacrifice to our Lord so that we can be molded according to His purposes. It is in worship that we develop the ability to see God most clearly, and therefore see ourselves as we truly are. True worship can therefore cause great joy as well as deep sorrow as it both comforts the afflicted and stirs the sometimes "too comfortable" Christian. When we have truly worshiped our Lord we are energized by His Spirit to re-enter the world of everyday life in order to genuinely love the people around us (even the difficult ones) and to work for God's glory rather than our own.
